| The Shoot Charitable Trust 2012 The Shoot saw 400 people turn out at Auchterhouse on the Glorious 12th August. 40 teams of 4 shot a 60 Sporting each, 40 Flush & Remote Controlled Aeroplanes. For other guests Nick Nairn & Paul Rankin did a take on Saturday Kitchen with the help from Mike Smith who is head chef at the Three Chimneys on the Isle of Skye, whilst Fred MacAulay had to deal with his 'food heaven'. The ladies could also have their nails & hair done in the morning whilst the men were shooting. After the shooting their was a champagne reception followed by a 3 course meal. The entertainment for the day was X Factor contestant Amelia Lily who sang a few songs. The aim of the day was of course to raise money which went to 2 charities; Barnardos & Type 1 Diabetes. There was a silent & main auction with items such as T in the Park Tickets, Celebrity Game Shoot and a Shooting trip to Argentina. The raffle prize this year was an Audi A1 1.4 Sport. The total raised on the day was £140,000. A BIG THANK YOU to all our helpers on the day - you know who you are. |
